Fire/EMS Emergency Evacuation Plan Guide
The Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department Fire Prevention Division has developed a guide with suggestions and recommendations to help develop Emergency Evacuation Plans for employers and businesses. The most important thing you can do to keep safe in a fire, medical, or other emergency situation is to stay calm, prepare, and follow instructions from emergency personnel.
This guide will help you be prepared for situations where evacuating a commercial building may be necessary.
For more information about developing an Emergency Evacuation Plan for your home or business, contact the Fire Prevention Division at (202) 727-1600 or (202) 727-1416.
